Matsushima and Love Psychedelico

I finally got up to Matsushima which is near Sendai. Midori, Donna, Jessica and I all had tickets to see Love Psychedelico. Great concert!! They are a bit like a Japanese version of Sheryl Crow and I'm a fan. The only thing that separated this concert from one in the States was the dead silence in between songs. I kid you not. Imagine going nuts in the mosh pit, jumping up and down with your finger pointed at the band, rockin' out, yelling singing moving...until the final note is played. Then imagine being able to hear yourself whisper "that was great" to your friend next to you and 5 people around you nodding in agreement. That's how quiet it got between songs. Eeerie if you ask me. I think it was even disconcerting to the band. I'm sure they've played enough places around the world now to realize...this just isn't normal rock concert behaviour. Still!! It was great. Thanks to Midori, we got right up to the stage where we could flirt with the guitarist. He actually threw me one of his signed, dated guitar picks!! Dreamy Dreamy!! Twitter Twitter!! He threw one right to Midori too, but the woman next to her picked it up. That was the worst. I actually really want her to have mine. That concert was such a bonding moment and I'm so happy to have her friendship. Of course, she wouldn't take it at the concert, but believe you me, that pick belongs to her.
