Canada Day and a Little Night Music

Lawrence decided to host a BBQ for Canada Day! It was a little rainy, but that didn't stop us from having a great time. Thanks Lawrence!! We also got together and found a little spot to hear some live music in Koriyama. Always a good time.

Tomato Fights, Jon's Birthday and General Galavanting

Ok. Once in your life, you should get a group of friends together and pelt tomatoes at each other. Just once. It's fantastic!! Our local barkeep at Gods was celebrating his birthday, so he paid professionals to come and cover the place in tarps, all the regular bar flies changed into their scrubby clothes, the box of tomatoes was opened and...SPLAT!!!! OOUMMFF!! EEEEE!! AAARRRRGGHH!! OOOO!! was all we heard for the next 45 minutes. So much fun! The best part was catching Roy's attempts and throwing it right back at him. I guess high school softball did me well. Jon got me good in the hair, which isn't entirely fair since he's practically bald, but I think I made up for it down the back of his shorts. Tomatoes and whip cream. A highly recommended experience.

It was Jon's birthday awhile back. Keene came up to join us for curry, beer and karaoke. That was a great night!
